The basics

Bopomo is made by Hulusi Tunç. Using it means agreeing to these terms and to Apple's standard licence for apps, which covers anything these terms don't.

Bopomo Plus

Plus is a subscription bought through Apple. It renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel in your iPhone's Settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. A free trial is offered once per Apple ID; if you don't cancel during it, the subscription starts when it ends. The daily review and replaying finished lessons stay free without Plus.

Learning content and AI

Bopomo is a learning aid. We work to get every word and sound right, but mistakes can happen, and suggestions made with AI (such as a Taiwanese name or what's in a photo) can be wrong.

Friends

Only add people you know. Friends see your name, your Taiwanese name and the days you learned. You can remove a friend at any time.

Changes

Features can change as Bopomo grows. If these terms change, this page and its date change with it.
